Infinix HOT 50 Pro+ vs OPPO A60 Specs, Price, Design, and Key Features Comparison
When it comes to finding a budget-friendly smartphone that doesn’t
skimp on features, Infinix and OPPO are two brands that
really stand out. They’ve built strong reputations for offering devices
packed with capabilities usually reserved for pricier models, without
        the hefty price tag.

Today, we’re taking a closer look at two of their most talked-about
models: the Infinix HOT 50 Pro+ and the OPPO A60. These
smartphones don’t just look good but they also come with a slew of unique
features that Filipinos will surely find useful in their daily lives and
the best part is that you don’t have to shell out a small fortune to get
      them.

    (L-R) Infinix HOT 50 Pro+ versus OPPO A60

In this guide, I’ll dissect the key features of these two devices so you
can see what makes each one stand out and win. Hopefully, this side-by-side comparison
review can help you decide which handset model might be the perfect fit for your
      lifestyle.

Kindly note that the comparison will be based only on technical
specifications and will simply reflect my personal opinions about these
smartphones as a technology editor and reviewer. This is merely a guide and
at the end of the day, only you can decide which handset model is ideal for
    you, given your lifestyle.

  Processor
Starting with performance, both smartphones bring a lot to the table for
budget devices. The Infinix HOT 50 Pro+ runs on the 2024 processor model MediaTek Helio G100, a
capable 6nm chipset clocked at 2.2GHz, while the OPPO A60 sports the older Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 from 2021, which is also built on a 6nm process but with a slightly
    faster 2.4GHz clock speed.

For this comparison review, I ran AnTutu Benchmark Test on both handsets. The Infinix HOT 50 Pro+ score of 436,153, which is far higher than the 321,518 score of OPPO A60.
While the Snapdragon 680’s clock speed provides a small edge in this regard,
the Helio G100's newer architecture gives it a tremendous advantage for users who demand greater processing power.

The breakdown of scores reveals that Infinix HOT 50 Pro+'s MediaTek Helio G100's Octa-Core CPU as well as its Mali-G57 MC2 GPU are superior in power compared to OPPO A60's Qualcomm Snapdragon 680's Octa Core CPU and Adreno 610 GPU.
The high benchmark score of Infinix HOT 50 Pro+, especially its stellar GPU marks for graphics performance, reflect the handset's ability to provide a smooth mobile gaming experience for budget-conscious mobile gamers who need that boost from their current entry-level device.
Winner: Infinix HOT 50 Pro+ - The Helio G100’s gaming optimization gives it
an edge, especially for mobile gamers.

I believe you will thoroughly enjoy playing Honor of Kings on the Infinix HOT 50 Pro+. I'm sure your gaming experience will be smooth and lag-free!
  Design
The Infinix HOT 50 Pro+ shines with its modern, premium-looking Titanium Feather
glass finish and curved edges, which give it a luxurious look for a budget device. It’s extremely slim
at just 6.8mm and super light, weighing only 162 grams.

Apart from being so thin, Infnix HOT 50 Pro+ just feels more well-crafted with its rounded sides and more lush materials and metallic accents.

According to the company, Infinix HOT 50 Pro+ is actually the World's Slimmest Gaming
Smartphone, which is extremely impressive considering the very accssible
    price tag of this model.

Look at that difference in thickness.

On the other hand, OPPO A60’s polycarbonate build may feel less premium and
thicker but has the advantage of durability, which I will talk more about in
    a bit.

The tapered sides and curved display of the Infinix HOT 50 Pro+ make look even slimmer than it already is.

Aesthetically, both devices have sleek designs with interesting color
options. The HOT 50 Pro+ offers Sleek Black, Titanium Grey, and Dreamy
Purple, while the OPPO A60 comes in Vibrant Purple and Blue. However, it's hard not to give this feature category to the Infinix HOT 50 Pro+, which is downright svelte and handsome.

Winner: Infinix HOT 50 Pro+ - With a sleeker build and glass finish, it
scores higher in style points. Also, as I've said, it's the World's Slimmest
Gaming Smartphone so it's definitely big on looks.

  IP Certification
Both devices come with IP54 certification, giving them protection against
dust and light splashes. While this won’t allow for underwater adventures,
it’s a solid feature for budget phones, especially for users in tropical countries like ours, which is often hit by typhoons.

Winner: Tie - Both the HOT 50 Pro+ and OPPO A60 provide decent
environmental protection for daily use, even in inclement weather.
    Display
The Infinix HOT 50 Pro+ clearly impresses with its larger 6.78-inch
FHD+ Curved AMOLED display, boasting a 120Hz Refresh Rate for smooth
      scrolling and transitions.
In comparison, the OPPO A60’s IPS LCD display is not only smaller at 6.67 inches but it also has lower HD+ resolution and just 90Hz maximum refresh rate support.

Though OPPO A60's screen has lower resolution and refresh rate, I have to commend it for having good maximum brightness at 950 nits. Backlit IPS panels tend to be laudable in that department. That said, Infinix HOT 50 Pro+'s AMOLED screen actually has an even higher 1,300 nits of maximum brightness.

For watching videos, browsing, or gaming, the Infinix HOT 50 Pro+'s stellar screen offers an
immersive experience that’s rare in this price range.

Great display quality is highly important in gameplay and you will certainly get that on the Infinix HOT 50 Pro+

Winner: Infinix HOT 50 Pro+ - Its higher resolution and Curved AMOLED screen
      create a visually superior experience.

Durability
The OPPO A60 has proven its resilience through rigorous testing, including
enduring 5,000 kilometers of bumpy roads without any protective
accessories. Additionally, as tested by the company, it survived 26 drops
from a height of 1.22 meters in various positions, showcasing its
      exceptional durability.

While the Infinix HOT 50 Pro+ offers solid build quality with its Titanium
Feather, it might not match the OPPO A60's rigorous durability
      credentials.

Winner: OPPO A60 with its US Military-Grade Shock Resistance
  Hardware and Software
Both phones run on Android 14, but with distinct interfaces. The Infinix HOT 50 Pro+
uses XOS 14.5, while OPPO A60 comes with ColorOS 14. XOS is known for
customization options, while ColorOS is praised for being intuitive and
smooth. For me, both are amazing in the software department.

In terms of RAM, both phones are practically tied at 8GB with up to 8GB
of RAM Expansion for smooth multitasking experience.

For storage, however, the Infinix HOT 50 Pro+ wins by offering 256GB (double that of the OPPO
A60’s 128GB), which is impressive considering that this model is more affordable. Both phones include a microSD slot for further expansion, so
neither should have issues handling media-heavy users. It's just more convenient to have more storage right out of the box, which Infinix's new smartphone provides.

Winner: Infinix HOT 50 Pro+ - The additional storage despite having a lower
price tag gives it the upper hand.

  Camera and Video Recording Specs
When it comes to cameras, both phones offer a 50MP main shooter. The Infinix
HOT 50 Pro+ has a triple-lens setup with an additional depth sensor and an
unspecified third camera, while the OPPO A60 comes with a dual-camera setup
    that includes a depth sensor.

On the front, the HOT 50 Pro+ features a 13MP wide-angle camera, while the
OPPO A60 has an 8MP selfie camera. Additionally, the HOT 50 Pro+ offers
higher video recording quality, including 2K video at 30fps on both front
and back cameras, whereas the OPPO A60 maxes out at 1080p.

Winner: Infinix HOT 50 Pro+ - Although both smartphones have a 50MP main camera at the back, this model comes with a higher resolution front-facing camera for selfies as well as higher resolution 2K front and back video recorders with LED flash, which is very useful for aspiring content creators.
Battery and Charging Speed
Both devices come equipped with a 5,000mAh battery, which should comfortably
last a full day. However, OPPO takes the lead in charging speed with 45W
fast charging compared to Infinix’s 33W.

For users always on the go, the OPPO A60’s faster charging could be a
decisive factor, enabling you to get back to full power more quickly.

Winner: OPPO A60 - The 45W charging speed is a welcome feature in the budget
    segment.

  Price
Infinix HOT 50 Pro+ comes in at PHP 8,499 for the 256GB version, making it a
solid choice for budget-conscious buyers. The OPPO A60, priced at PHP 9,999
for the 128GB variant, offers less storage at a higher cost.

Considering its superior display, storage, and camera setup, the Infinix HOT 50 Pro+
offers excellent value for money. OPPO A60’s faster charging and build
durability are commendable but might not justify the higher price for all
    buyers.

Winner: Infinix HOT 50 Pro+ - It packs more features into an affordable
    package.
